Mabon is the Pagan harvest festival celebrated on the autumn equinox. It is the harvest of fruit - celebrating the fruits and vegetables we have been given in abundance.

On the equinox night and day are of equal length - masculine and feminine energies, dark and light - al are equal and balanced. The nights will start to grow longer as the sun's energy wanes and all returns to the dark and fertile Earth from which it came.

Cinnamon - a spice of abundance an prosperity
Sage - Brings prosperity, good luck and wisdom.
Rosehips, apple and elderberry are all fruits of the harvest and abundant at the time of the equinox.
Heather - Links the bounty of the earth with the opposing element of sky. It lifts the spirit, promotes intuition and denotes dreams coming to fruition.
