Porcelain earrings with blue woman painted in acrylic on them. The earring hooks are made out of surgical steel (a non reactive metal and non irritating for most skin types). The porcelain has been high fired twice, then painted and sprayed with a sealant.

I was inspired by the figures in Matisse’s ‘Dance’ to start experimenting with slightly abstracted female body forms. I was also inspired by figures in Greek art and the prominent pallet of blue and white.

My mother is a ceramicist and helped me sculpt these earrings. I am an illustration student studying in my second year and decided to draw from the inspiration above to create these blue woman earrings.
