These string pictures in the shape of a heart are a lovely decorative addition to your home, a modern twist on the nostalgic classic. I met a fellow creative doing very complex amazing string art pictures at a market and fancied having a go using my upcycled wood as a backing. I was then given some lovely old crochet and embroidery threads so started having a go at some simple shapes. The heart is the one I have stuck with as I love the patterns created and to be honest I don't have the patience to do anything more complex! I've had many a conversation with visitors to my stall about memories we all have of these string pictures in our homes as we were growing up in the 70's! My customers certainly seem to love these modern versions of this throwback art.
