This adult sized apron is made from a classic pastel coloured, floral and stripe design, cotton/linen mix furnishing fabric.
The flowers are bunches of roses in shades of dusty pink with sprays of lilac like flowers and various green leaves. The vertical stripes are a lovely pale dusty blue alternating between a 7 cm wide band 3 narrow bands and a 3.5 cm band bordered with narrow stripes. These bands run behind the flowers. There are 'shadow' flat coloured grey sprigs springing from the flower bunches. The background is a natural cream.
It has a shaped bib, the arm edges being bound in a sky blue bias, and has two pockets the tops of which are also bound in the blue bias.
It has cross over straps so there are no tapes to tie, and are made from the same material.
The cross back style is simple to wear once you have mastered the art of putting it on. No tapes to come undone, to dangle in food or the washing up bowl or become tangled in the wash.
The fabric is quite heavy weight but with some hang due to the linen, it willl be durable and practical.

CARE:
Wash in the machine on a 30 - 40C cycle

All fabrics are pre washed to allow for shrinkage

This beautiful, heavy weight, linen cotton mix, furnishing fabric is great to work with. A good strong weave but a lovely feel because of the linen which gives a 'hang' to fabrics.
There are a wonderful variety of shades of pink in the flowers but I decided to highlight the dusty blue background stripes with a darker shade of blue bias tape.
