These crocheted rainbows are made from 100% cotton yarn in seven bright colours. They are approx. 3.5cm tall (exc. hanging loop) and 8.5cm across at their widest point. They are made in a doughnut shape which is then folded in half and the outer edges are crocheted together to make the rainbow. The double thickness makes the rainbow a sturdy accessory, ideal to use as a keyring or bag charm.

I have added a crocheted loop at the top which is attached to a metal split ring and swivel clasp. If you ever need to wash your rainbow, remove the metal ring and clasp and gently hand wash, reshape while damp and dry flat. Do not tumble dry.

Your keys will never be lost at the bottom of your handbag if they are attached to this colourful rainbow!

Please note that this is a decorative item with small parts which could be a choking hazard. It is not a toy and should not be given to a child.

I made over 50 rainbow decorations during lockdown to raise much-needed funds for the charity I work for, The Beds & Northants MS Therapy Centre. Rainbows symbolise the hope of better times ahead, a thought we all need to hold on to during this crisis.

After making all those rainbows I thought I had been put off crocheting rainbows forever! But my crochet rainbow mojo has now returned and I’m happily making them again. Creating something colourful definitely lifts my spirits and makes me smile.
