Orange Butterfly
Description
Small textile unmounted and unframed. This textile piece is created using a technique called reverse applique, which involves cutting into layers of material to reveal a design. Dimensions 17 cm wide, 11 cm high.

Inspiration
I created a series of butterflies ( of which this is the first) at the beginning of Lockdown. I was very much aware that I was no longer in a position of being able to go hither and thither because of the situation so drawn to creating a creature that could.
