A vintage cushion made from a Sanderson print and complementary bark-cloth, both from the 1970s.

The front of the cushion is made from a rare Sanderson print called 'Cobweb' - featuring long-haired flower-bedecked fairies in soft shades of pink, lilac and pale brown set against an off-white background.

The reverse is a psychedelic print on bark-cloth in complementary shades of pink and brown, very kitsch, very 70s but a perfect foil for the pretty cushion front!

In the spirit of fairy wings, the two short edges have been trimmed with beautiful goose feather trim in rich pinks and soft browns, just for a bit of extra frivolity really!

The cushion measures approximately 54 x 46 cm (not including the feather trim) and the pink zip opening is at the base of the cushion.

It is filled with a 60 x 60 cm British-made feather pad to provide for a lovely plump cushion and all raw fabric edges have been overlocked for a professional finish.

This is a rare fabric by Sanderson from the 1970s (I have only ever seen it in one other colourway) and is, presumably, called 'Cobweb' after one of the fairies in Titania's Court from Shakespeare's - A Midsummer Night's Dream?

In the spirit of 1970s kitsch, I have teamed it with a complementary bark cloth from the same era (for those of us old enough to remember it)!

I think this would make a fun cushion for a small person's fairy-bed.

I have only one further pair of fairies with which to make another cushion should you wish to have a matching pair!
