Beautiful original acrylic painting ‘Feeding the hungry flock.’ A Shepherd busily feeds his hungry sheep.
Painting on deep unframed stretched canvas. The edges are plain mid green. On the back are small ‘D-rings so you can add your own cord or unscrew the rings and place on a frame should you wish to.
The painting measures, H40 cm x L40 cm with a canvas depth of approx. 4.5 cm, so a square and chunky look.
She will brighten up any wall! I work from my studio, here in Dorset and am inspired by the people and the countryside around me. I hope you like ‘Feeding the hungry flock’ as much as I enjoyed painting it.

The story behind…
I have always been fascinated by the countryside and our relationship with it. Many of my paintings try to capture the magic of it as well as the everyday. Its beauty and its hard work. The story of ‘Feeding the hungry flock’ is a very practical one. We keep a flock of sheep and I have often noticed how they can almost block us out of view when feeding time arrives! I wanted to try and capture this hungry muddle and the sheer stoicism of the shepherd, come rain or shine!
