A reversible cushion made from fabric by the high-end design house Lewis and Wood.
The front of the cushion is a lovely Toile de Jouy 100% cotton fabric called 'Diana the Huntress' featuring cartouches containing classically inspired human and animal figures, plus the occasional Roman Goddess - Diana Venatrix seen here with her bow drawn, hair streaming behind her as she takes up the pursuit, in rich fawn and greys set against an off-white background.
The reverse of the cushion is 100% linen fabric (also by Lewis & Wood) called 'Jasper Peony' designed by the decorative artist Adam Calkin, featuring a large scale twig, leaves and peony bloom in the same rich fawn colourway on a cream background.
The cushion has been trimmed with complementary-coloured velour bobble trim along the two short sides and the neutral colour zip opening is at the base of the cushion.
The cushion measures 55 x 46 cm and is filled with a British-made feather pad to provide a soft, yielding cushion.
Lewis & Wood design absolutely beautiful fabric and wallpapers for the traditional and modern home and are based just down the road from me in South Woodchester.
I was lucky enough to find these two small pieces of their fabric and could not resist joining them together as the colourways are so complementary. The reversible nature of the cushion means you can ring the changes from day to day depending on your mood - whether you wish to channel your inner lunar deity or exude a floral calmness!
