For me a witch always has a green face. I blame it on growing up with the Wicked Witch of the West from Oz, Grotbags from Rod Hull and Emu, and latterly Elphaba from the Wicked books. So when I decided to experiment with brooches of little faces in hats it was a no-brained that the first one I designed was my beautiful green witch.
