This distinctive Tudor style belt pouch or bag and belt would look great for re-enactors, but equally good for a night out with a modern corset-style tope. Made of natural undid vegetable tanned leather, it is rugged and will last for years.

It is tooled with a simple cross shape stamp design, in keeping with similar bags found in archeological digs. The matching belt has a simple D ring riveted on one end and the belt is fastened by taking the other end of the belt through the ring, down and up behind the belt and then back down between the belt and the loop you've made.

The whole pouch is hand saddle stitched in the traditional style. A simple large wooden button, attached with leather thonging, is secured by a loop of leather thonging to secure the front flap.

I went to a Tudor Life event where people dress in Tudor costume and reenact everyday life and activities. One of the reenactors had a belt bag on that i really liked the shape of, so I came home and made a copy of it! It's big enough to hold a mobile Tudor phone and several other bits too! With time, it will mellow into a wonderful honey-coloured patina.
