This flat bauble features hand-cut rainbow and mirror glass tiles fixed to a wooden base, finished with neutral grout. It hangs with twine. The year 2020 is shaped from mirror glass that sparkles in the glare of fairy lights.

My mosaics are designed for indoor use. Exposure to the elements may cause the wood to warp and the tiles to loosen.

2020 has been a challenging year. Working for the NHS, the symbol of the rainbow has come to mean so much to me. I wanted to incorporate that into a dated bauble.
