Hello! My shop is looking a little depleted because I will be in Brittany for a couple of months from the 9th of July. Due to the new customs rules I can't take my finished artwork or wools with me, but I will, however, be able to take pet portrait commissions for delivery in October, November and December. So if you would like a life-like, lasting memento of your pet, please contact me.
2019 was definitely a year of wildlife projects. I had a few commissions for fox sculptures and continued on the foxy theme with a small series of box frames to go with the hare series. This is another one inspired by a photo found with a Google search and he has obviously scented something out of the frame and is wondering whether or not to leave his comfy bed.
The background is wet-felted and then I needlefelted the fox using the specialist barbed felting needles. It's a time-consuming process but you can work in 2D and 3D and embellish the surface....a truly inspiring technique.
