Please be aware when buying an item ‘To Order’ there will be a time delay before it is ready for posting. At the moment parcels appear to be taking longer than normal to arrive.
If you are buying an item as a present and would like it sent direct I am more than happy to gift wrap and include a message for you, just let me know what you want to say and make sure you confirm the recipients address.
I normally post ready made items the next working day.
I love making bees and had recently made an echinacea flower which I was really pleased with so thought I’d combine the two elements in one panel.
The bees are a little family of three, each slightly bigger. I have used yellow rough rolled glass for the body and a different textured clear glass for the wings to make each slightly different. The black stripes are copper foil, solder and patina.
The echinacea have been made from dark pink florentine glass for the cone and pale and dark pink textured glass for the petals. The stem and leave have been made from tinned wire.
The surround is made from ice crystal clear glass with pale green florentine glass for the corners.
Each piece of glass has been hand cut, ground, foiled and soldered together before washed and polished. Two rings and a length of fishing line have been attached for hanging purposes.
This suncatcher is a real statement piece and will be a conversation piece. The frame measures 33cms x 17cms But with the leaves the width is 29cms, however these can be moved up to make narrower if an issue.
