In creating these tables John has used his skills learnt in 15 years of making bespoke stone-effect dollhouses, and 12 years in a woodwork workshop with young offenders. Now retired he takes great enjoyment from working with these beautiful English woods and hopes you’ll have as much enjoyment living with these tables as he had making them.

As little as possible has been done to the sawn timbers to try and keep the natural look of the wood (apart from sanding smooth) and using the imperfections in the timber as features. Each table emphasises the natural movement in the wood and where possible reclaimed wood like oak or ash is used for the legs. All sustainably sourced timber from the middle of England.

Aged dark apple wood from an old orchard of the Worcester Hereford border, with steel tripod legs.

Handcarved oak leaves and acorn feature, set off by a lighter epoxy resin fill.
