A large Vintage Cosmetic/ Make-up/ Accessories Bag.

The outer fabric is a vintage Sanderson cotton called 'Meyerling' from the 1980s, featuring beautiful deep pink chrysanthemum blooms, blue daisy-like flowers, rich green leaves and even a lovely butterfly (on the front of the bag) against a warm cream ground. The outer fabric has been interlined with interfacing to give extra body to the bag.

The lining fabric is a vintage woven English brocade with sprays of flowers in blues, pinky-red and soft yellow, with gold decoration highlights.

The Bag is finished with a generous dusty pink woollen tassel attached as a handy zip pull.

It measures approximately 30 cms wide by 23 cms high and has a gusseted base which allows the bag to stand proudly upright.

I just love this vintage Sanderson fabric from the 1980s (I have a smaller piece in a blue colourway too which is just as lovely) and decided to team it with a vintage piece of English brocade whose flowers echo the colours of the outer fabric perfectly - a veritable floral feast.

It would make a lovely present for a wonderful mum!
