This Cathedral Window Quilt has been given a modern twist with the large blocks and glowing colours. This quilt measures 64 inches by 64 inches or 162 cms by 162 cms
I am not sure how old the origins of the block are but it is an old block. There are two primary patterns but others to be looked for. I will not spoil your fun by pointing them out to you.
The quilt is made with 100% quilting cotton both front and back. The wadding used is Super soft Bamboo Blend from Sew Simple. This wadding is naturally anti- bacterial and eco-friendly, light in weight but beautifully warm.
The blocks are machine sewn and the entire quilt top was put together on a normal domestic sewing machine. The quilt top wadding and backing are then loaded onto a quilting frame and then using a 21 inch longarm sewing machine the quilting design is sewn into the three layers so that ‘three become one’.
Quilts can be machine washed on a cool washed and can even be tumble dried on a delicate setting.

I have always had a fascination with historic buildings and ecclesiastical buildings demonstrate a wealth of architecture and the wonderful windows to be are more than a design element, they shine their light on the whole building design.
