Hello! My shop is looking a little depleted because I will be in Brittany for a couple of months from the 9th of July. Due to the new customs rules I can't take my finished artwork or wools with me, but I will, however, be able to take pet portrait commissions for delivery in October, November and December. So if you would like a life-like, lasting memento of your pet, please contact me.
Highland cattle are a huge source of inspiration. Their great shaggy coats blowing in the wind, their placid but characterful faces and those gorgeous fuzzy babies keep me smiling as I work. I am lucky enough to have a local herd here in Derby, but I also have photo stock of other animals that I've come across on my travels. I've even found them in Central Brittany!
This little cow is a wet-felted background and needlefelted everything else....the curly coat added strand by strand with a single needlefelting needle.
