Trinket box turned from Silver Birch

This delightful little box is turned from locally sourced silver birch, a pale wood with a beautiful iridescent sheen that is brought to life with a light wax finish.

Elegant and contemporary in feel, it will fit perfectly on any dressing table, and help to keep your small treasures safe.

This would also be a wonderful presentation box for a very special gift, such as an engagement or handfasting ring. Size is 3" (7.5cm) tall, interior width 1.2" (2.75cm).

A silver birch branch in the woodpile provided the inspiration for this pretty little box.

Removing the bark showed the amazing grain pattern, and the diameter of the branch suggested a delicate piece ideal for rings or other tiny trinkets.
