A lovely informal clutch bag with a wristlet strap, perfect for summer evenings.

The outer fabric is a modern designer label 100% linen fabric 'Lonicera' by Nina Campbell, showcasing beautiful sprigs of pink and yellow honeysuckle flowers and leaves on a pale cream background.

The inside of the bag is lined with 100% silk dupion (rose colourway) and one side features a handy pocket made from the outer fabric, just the right size for your mobile phone.

Both outer and inner fabric layers have been interlined with pure cotton wadding to give the bag body but please note this soft-bodied bag lies flat and is not designed to stand.

The bag opening features a mid-shade pink zip and a rayon cushion tassel in pale pink and green has been added for extra flourish. The wristlet strap has been made from the outer linen fabric and is attached to a fabric tag on the side of the bag by means of a silver coloured metal D ring and clip.

The bag measures approximately 30 x 23 cms.

I found a few small pieces of this designer-label linen by Nina Campbell, with its pretty floral honeysuckle design, and thought it would be lovely to make it up into a soft-bodied Summer evening bag. I have lined it with a rose pink silk to add that little touch of luxury.

The wristlet strap fits informally around your wrist but can be detached if you just wish to use it as a simple clutch bag.
