LET ME KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY GREETINGS TO INCLUDE.
I enjoy making lidded jars because I am told by that they often get used for safe storage of frequently used items. I want to engage with people by providing them with something thoughtfully handmade that fits into their daily routine. the jar can be used for storing jewelry, in the kitchen for herbs or spices, by the door for keys. I take care to make a well-fitting lid to add to the pleasure of its use. The jar pays homage to my long-term interest in the oriental ceramics with the shape and use of a seal. There is also a sense of movement associated with the vertical and diagonal blue glaze streaks.
