Sandstone has been around since the European Renaissance and is a type of glittering glass made in a low oxygen reducing atmosphere.
Sandstone is not a natural stone but a manmade stone, it sparkles because there are little bits of copper in it. Like many other glass beads, you can find these manufactured in Italy, China, and Austria.
