Item details

A lovely light coloured Ash Bowl here. It has a gorgeous curving grain that wraps around the bowl. It is finished with a shellac sanding sealer and topped with Hampshire Sheen High Gloss Wax for added durability.

This beautiful Ash Bowl can have many uses in your household. It can serve as a key dish, hold more decorative items, keepsakes potpourri or simply sit as a decorative item in any of your rooms.

This piece of Scottish Ash was salvaged from a firewood pile in a local workshop and then turned on my lathe in my workshop on the outskirts of Edinburgh Scotland.

I was lucky enough to have this large piece of ash in the workshop. It sat in wait for a long time until I came up with the idea for the shape of this bowl. I felt this simple form with its gentle curves would compliment the wood grain that wraps around the bowl.
