This is a pretty silver plated calla lily necklace with a centre stem of a real pearl and a 3D silver plated daisy charm. The calla lily has a drop of approximately 40mm and an approximate width of 23mm. The calla lily has been carved with fine lines to add texture. The chain is silver plate and is 18" and fastens with a lobster claw clasp.

The necklace will arrive in a pretty handmade pillow shaped box.

In Greek Mythology the Calla Lily represents the milk of Goddess Hera that was spilled as she was nursing Hercules. In Christian Legend, Calla lilies are believed to represent the tears of Eve as she was expelled from paradise. Lilies are also associated with the Virgin Mary and can often be seen in paintings being held by the Angel Gabriel as he announces the pregnancy of the Virgin Mary. This is believed to be the reason as to why Calla lilies are often seen in weeding bouquets, representing new and future life, despite the Calla lilies toxicity.
