This is a very delicate and a small necklace of a triangle of gold plate that holds a smaller triangle of the blue gemstone Lapis Lazuli.

The triangle has a small measurement of 1cm and the chain which is a gold plate trace chain is 18" in length and fastens with a lobster claw clasp.

The necklace will arrive in a pretty handmade pillow shaped box.

Lapis Lazuli is a semi precious gemstone that is popular because of its intense blue colour. Lapis comes from mines in Afghanistan and made its way to Europe in the middle ages where it was ground down to become a popular paint colour in many Renaissance paintings. Lapis also features heavily in King Tutankhamen's sarcophagus. Lapis is a stone belived to stimulate wisdom and good judgement.
