Hematite is found all over the world and is mined in Australia, England, Mexico, USA amongst a few places. Hematite is common mineral consisting of iron oxide. Hematite comes in many colours, and is most common in red and rainbow. When black Hamatite occurs, it is known as specular hematite. Hematite is the iron ore found on the Planet Mars and is responsible for its red colour. In ancient time, it was believed that Hematite found on battle grounds, was the blood of fallen soldiers and the ancient Egyptians places hematite in their tombs. Haematite is believed to be a healing stone, reducing stress and strengthening the body.
