A rich blend of gold, green and cream polymer clay creates a fresh, bright and striking piece of handcrafted jewellery. The hand moulded ‘pebbles’ and small spherical beads are threaded onto tarnish-resistant brass wire, finished with hand-turned fishhook clasps.

The necklace measures 50 cm.

The pebbles are formed from my own handmade canes, which I cut and roll to create natural-appearing patterns. The pebbles and beads are fired, sanded, drilled, painted with semi-gloss varnish and threaded on beading wire.

I love working with polymer clay because it allows me to create texture through colour and pattern. Every piece of jewellery I make is unique, and completely handcrafted to my own designs.

The necklace will be wrapped in tissue paper and placed in an organza bag, ready to gift or keep for yourself!

I love pebbles, and have a large collection that I’ve gathered on my travels over the years. I’m drawn to pebbles with interesting forms, inclusions and colours. I’ve tried to distil these features into my own handcrafted pebbles.

The colour palette for these pebbles was inspired by fresh acorns, which glow gold in the sun. I love oak trees; they remind me of my grandmother who always used to say to me “big things from little acorns grow”. A great mantra for life!
