My daughter Chloe’s drawing has always been prolific. Since she was very young she has always shown an interest in expressing herself through art and especially colour. There’s nothing more that she likes than a pack of coloured pencils, crayons or pens and a piece of paper. I love watching her draw. The fluidity and innocence of the pictures that appear is amazing. She often sleeps on something that we’ve done or learnt during the day and then first thing the next morning she will take herself down to her art table and put these things into her pictures.

I did not just want to keep piling all of this artwork up in a box and forget about them so the best way for me to celebrate this work is to use my applique and free motion embroidery skills to create textile art which can adorn my walls and be loved forever.
