Very bright orange hat suitable for children with knitted and crocheted spider on top. 18-19" widest part - 16" width folded over ribbed area (unstretched) - 8" height. Knitted spider on top with crocheted chain stitch for legs which are attached at body and end of each leg. Knitted with Patons Fab DK - this yarn is Acrylic and has quite a firm feel to it. With the spider being on the top, I would recommend that this is washed by hand, due to the delicacy of the spider. It is quite a neon orange and therefore the brightness does not come out particularly well on a photograph.

I love the brightness of this wool and felt that it lends itself to making something fun. Rather than the traditional pom pom and the fact that I had incorporated black into the design, I thought, why not have a spider on the top? I just sewed the legs each end so as to make the legs not look so static. I'm hoping to make some more fun hats in the future.
