I started thinking about unicorn badges when making items for a Brownie sale. In my job as an outdoor educator, children often talk to me about mythical creatures as well as our local wildlife and I love to encourage their imaginations. While we might not see many unicorns stalking through our forests and meadows, anything that sparks an interest in the animal kingdom and can open a conversation about taking care of the habitats which unicorns, hedgepigs and other animals need is fine by me!
