'Redemption' aims to evoke a feeling of rejuvenation, renewal, change & hope & was inspired after a vision based on studying John 9:1-7 about healing & seeing & from hearing a Sermon on John 15-31; about the Holy Spirit farthering us followed by prayer about forgiveness of Farthers, prompting us to ask who we should forgive. It was myself. I meditated & prayed on scriptures about forgiveness; Psalm 32:1-11, Psalm 32:5, Ephesians 4:32, Matthew 6:14-15, Matthew 26:28, 2 Timothy 1:15, Hebrews 4: 3-6, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:1, Romans 8:1, Colossians 3:13, John 8:32, 1 John 1:9 & 2 Corrinthians 5:17-18. For me creating this piece was about healing & needing to see I had to forgive myself, it was about giving up all my rebellion, from a place of darkness & separation from God, giving my life to God in total submission to his authority to use as he will, about him colouring my life and making it whole & about basking in the iridescent glow of Christ.
