This print was inspired by an early morning walk along Tavistock canal. This row of Bedford cottages line the banks of the old boat ways and in the early hours of the morning the grass verges are full of life. While every one sleeps, the river is busy with a kingfisher catching his breakfast, nesting birds collecting twigs and rats and voles scuttling along there well trodden path.
The print was hand carved and printed on handmade Japanese paper, the vibrant colour block ink brings the scene to life.
