This is a set of three small white storage baskets, hand-crocheted in recycled t-shirt yarn. These pots and baskets are perfect for storing bathroom or kitchen items or for taking care of your trinkets in the bedroom.

Approximate Set Measurements:
Largest: 19cm diameter x 9cm height
Medium: 15cm diameter x 7cm height
Small: 10cm diameter x 8cm height

This set of baskets will be dispatched in a sturdy box, which can also be reused for gift-giving, or recycled in the usual ways.

The yarn is made from un-used and leftover jersey fabric from European mills, and is made in Turkey. Due to the nature of this recycled material, the thickness of the yarn can vary within each item, which may result in an uneven finish. This gives each basket an organic, handmade feel and each basket will be unique.

The recycled t-shirt yarn is 90% cotton, 10% synthetic. The baskets are washable, although I would recommend hand-washing and re-shaping whilst damp for the best results.

My mum taught me how to crochet when I was a girl. She sadly passed away in 2019 and a year later in 2020 during the long months of lockdown, I turned once more to this hobby to see me through. Whilst on video calls and via photo messaging I started to spread the word of my new lockdown endeavours. My friends and family were not only supportive, they began to place orders!

A new skein of yarn is full of possibilities, there’s nothing like it to get the creativity ignited. Making sustainable crocheted items for other people’s homes is hugely fulfilling for me. Crochet is a mindful activity, I love the peace and focus in provides in my life and turning yarn into three dimensional objects never fails to excite me. I use recycled yarns in order to provide a local, sustainable alternative to mass-produced items. Each item will find its own unique form, and it’s wonderful to see each unique item emerge as I work quietly with my little dog, Jess snuggled up by my side.
