Hello and welcome. I make jewellery out of hand rolled paper beads which I sell in aid of the St Wilfrid's centre for vulnerable and homeless adults. Check out their website https://www.stwilfridscentre.org/
I use recycled paper and I get inspiration from the colour of the paper and whichever pre-loved beads I could find to complement my design - This means that no two pieces are alike.
I add new creations every few weeks, so please feel free to come and browse again and again for that one-of-a-kind piece
A unique, one of a kind, double stranded necklace made of paper beads. The beads were made of recycled wrapping paper. The paper was double sided and had gorgeous fresh pastel colours. It was manually cut into strips, hand rolled and made into differently shaped beads. The beads are complemented with preloved metallic, coloured plastic beads and long metallic links.
The drop of the longest strand is just under 29 cm.
For those wanting a 3rd shorter strand, I am selling separately a shorter necklace made with the same paper. I would, of course, combine postage.
The overall look with 3 strands is displayed in the last 2 photos.
Please note that, as I work with recycled paper, and with whatever design is on a page, the beads are not identical.
My jewellery is sold in aid of the St Wilfrid's centre for vulnerable, socially excluded and homeless adults.
My daughter's birthday gift to me was wrapped in this gorgeous paper. She knew I would want to make paper beads and unusual jewellery with it. She described it as candy coloured and 'fresh' - hence using this terminology in my description.
