I make my images by hand carving artist's Lino which I then ink up with oil based printer's ink. I then print the image onto acid free paper. Sometimes, as in the case of this print, I then hand paint in the colours using watercolour paints or inks. I make my Linocut Prints by hand in my studio in York using my trusty etching press. I am inspired by things I see when out on my walks in the Yorkshire countryside or working on my allotment. I find plants and wildlife very inspiring. This particular print was inspired by the sight of hares in a field . I saw them on my journey to work one day. This print is one out of a limited edition of 50. Each print is numbered and signed. The prints vary slightly as they are hand made so they are all unique!
Please note the actual image size is 30 X 20 cm but the paper size is larger as there is a white border of approximately 5 cm
