I wanted to show case the beautiful pieces of sea glass whilst keeping them affordable so I have encapsulated this frosted green sea piece in a silver-plated wire cage. I have also attached an adjustable leather cord to make a casual daytime necklace. If you wanted the knots can be undone and the pendant sipped free thus allowing it to be threaded onto a chain.

I love collecting sea glass from local beaches, it is great to be out there in the fresh air and collecting sea glass is the perfect justification for lingering a little longer. Each piece of sea glass from the Pembrokeshire coast is shrouded in mystery. It could have washed ashore as part of one of the many shipwrecks such as the Loch Shiel’s cargo which included beer and whisky or it could have come from the bottling plant on the Milford Haven estuary. Whenever I am collecting sea glass the hunt is on for the prefect pieces. Nicely smoothed and frosted, locally turquoise and white are found more often whilst dark blue is rarely found.
