Carefully selected LIBERTY Tana Lawn fabrics die-cut by ChrissieCraft to make pre-Bondawebbed applique Serif lettering HOME together with folkart shaped hearts, flowers and butterflies AND assorted embellishments to add detail and interest to this lovely kit. Genuine LIBERTY patchwork fabric strips are included for borders. Embellishments include diamante type metallic-like fabric flowers, flower sequins, pearl seed beads and 2 pearlised heart buttons.
Gently wash the backing white-on-white floral fabric and line dry until slightly damp; through baking parchment and using a medium/hot iron press to remove any creases.
Position the applique pieces as required. Remove the Bondaweb backing papers BUT one at a time press through baking parchment and using a medium hot iron to secure each one in place. Once cool, sew around the edge of each applique, using a small buttonhole stitch or back-stitch by hand or machine to permanently fix the appliques on the background fabric.
Cut the border strips accurately for the top and bottom and sides.
Machine sew these onto the central applique block using a quarter inch seam.
From the reverse of the project, gently press the borders.
Sew on the two heart buttons, one for each heart.
Carefully glue on, using permanent fabric glue, the diamante flower shapes, one on each letter.
Securelys ew on four flower sequins to the butterfly shapes, using the pearl seed beads, two on each wing one on each flower.
