This lovely little brooch is made using offcuts from the making of my cushions and lavender pouches.

This rainy day image is a print of one of my of my original designs; simple lines stitched in black thread and vibrant embroidery silks onto a natural, unbleached calico. This has been carefully reproduced onto a beautiful neutral coloured cotton fabric by the team at Woven Monkey.

The brooch, with its focus the rainbow umbrella, is backed with a lovely eucalyptus wool felt with the two sides neatly hand-stitched together in a sage green coloured thread.

Stitched to the reverse is a silver coloured brooch bar.

The brooch has a diameter of approx. 6.5cm.

These brooches combine the love for a handmade accessory and the aim to waste as little fabric as possible in my work.
