Carved from locally sourced English walnut and embellished with a faceted Swarovski skull crystal, this spoon brings a new dimension to your table. Hand carved in Cornwall and finished with a light coat of Japanese wax, it's designed for either serving or eating with. Made with an artist's eye and a craftsman's touch, my pieces are solid and elegant. They are meant to last and be loved.
Length: 29cm (8 inches)
Bowl width: 4.2cm

Japanese wax is certified by the Boken quality evaluation institute of Japan to be free from voc's and heavy metals. It is safe to use on food contact items and children's toys. Bacteria growth is inhibited by wood food ingredients such as lauric acid, peppermint oil, and blood orange oil. Japanese cypress oil (hinoki) has an especially strong antibacterial effect.
I take a lot of inspiration from both the landscape and sea where I live in Cornwall and wanted to create a spoon that incorporated an unusual Swarovski crystal and was both useful and surprising. This spoon is the result. The walnut will darken with use and, as it ages, the wood will provide the perfect contrast to the crystal.
Care: Always hand wash your spoon with soapy water and at dry after washing. Do not put it in the dish washer, or immerse the spoon in water for long periods of time.
