My love of growing flowers, especially poppies inspired the Cabochon ( stone ) set on this pendant. My process to make starts by manipulating layers of hot, melted black and white enamel on a white base, creating a bold abstract of the chaotic stems and leaves poppies have. This is delicate work which takes many attempts in order to achieve the effect I have in mind. Then for the poppies, I carefully sprinkle red enamel. Eventually a unique poppy scene is created.The surface is slightly textured and glossy. A thoughtful gift choice for any poppy lover you know! Cabochon is set on to and complimented by a high quality Silver Plated oval bezel with 18'' silver plated snake chain.

Pendant size approx 50 x 26 mm at widest points, including tube bail for chain at the top.

When I'm not making jewellery, my favourite place to be is in the garden. Just a small space where I love growing and experimenting with different plants and flowers. I have always loved poppies and I was delighted to grow some from seed last year. They are however rather short lived but last much longer re created in my enamel mini artwork scene.
