Item details

There is lots of atmosphere packed into this small painting. The beautiful evening light over the Severn Estuary is reflected in the shallow water in the foreground. The tide is going out and the sounds of wading birds can be heard.

A small painting in a portrait format, this would look good filling those small spaces in the home, or as part of a display of several paintings.

Textured brush marks can be seen on the painting. It is painted on acrylic primed acid free paper, the priming allows the paint texture to be visible.

I have used acrylic paints with high light fastness ratings.

The painting is unframed. It is mounted in an off white mount with a backing board ready to fit a 10 x 8 inch frame. The painting itself is 12x17cm.

It is packaged in a clear plastic display bag. It will be posted in a stiff cardboard envelope and will be sent Royal Mail first class.

I have spent many hours sketching by the Severn Estuary near Bristol. The light in the late afternoon in autumn is amazing. This small painting was done back in the studio after a sketching trip.
