Painted in the studio from sketches made after a glorious June holiday in the Scillies. We made a day trip to St Agnes, with plenty of time to walk right round the island and stop off in several places to make sketches and eat fabulous local ice cream. Towards the end of the day we could see stormy weather sweeping magnificently in from the ocean – even the bad weather was beautiful!
