Who had a hanky for every day of the week? This sweet little lavender bag is made from the corner of a vintage childs hanky. On the front is a cute illustration of a pussy cat waving off a friend, reminiscent of Ladybird books and Beatrix Potter drawings.I have made the back from a fragment of vintage embroidered table linen, and filled it with dried lavender from Terrington in North Yorkshire. Since ancient times the lovely lavender has been used to help sleep, keep clothes smelling fresh, and shoo away pesky moths. Lovely to store in a drawer with a bridal gown, it would also make a nice present for Mum a vintage textile fan. or anyone needing a virtual hug right now.

This little bag measures 9 cm by 9 cm
Inside is nestling a muslin pillow filled with Yorkshire lavender.
There is a practical hook for popping onto a clothes hanger or hanging up in a bedroom, to keep the air sweet.
The front is made from a vintage hankie, and the back is a tiny piece of embroidered vintage table linen.
The front of the bag has 3 tiny vintage buttons, and is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
Just squeeze gently from time to time to refresh your lavender scent.

I like to reuse as much as possible. Your little bag will be posted out to you wrapped in clean, recycled packaging.
It will be sent out as by Royal Mail 2nd class with proof of posting.
