Your flower will be handmade to order using a super-fine 100% silk in mustard. A fine metal mesh is used for the leaves, which will be backed with a pitch black silk adding a wonderfully dramatic effect.

The dahlia and leaves will all be hand cut using a pattern from my vintage flower making books. The silks are stiffened, then individually shaped using heated flower making tools and traditionl flower-making techniques.

Measuring 15cm diameter, painstakingly assembled onto a single florist wire stem and bound with black florist tape, the flower stands at 30cm tall. She looks fabulous as a single stem in a simple tall glass vase!

The mustard and silvery grey tones give a dinstinctly modern take on a very traditional flower, and the pure silk catches the sunlight beautifully, as you can see in the photographs!

Your flower will be carefully packaged, and while the stem may be bent to accommodate packaging it is easily straightened.
