Medium-sized notebook made from the lining of an old Texier briefcase. The pages are mixed grey and blue Ursus drawing paper 130g/m2 and the book is Coptic-bound, a method of bookbinding over 2,000 years old and involves no glue, just stitching to hold the covers and pages together. The endpapers are old wallpaper samples of Cole & Son 'White Lilac' block-printed paper. Size is 17cm x 13cm and 2cm thick. The book is unique, signed and numbered (2,085), and comes in its own handmade gift-box.

This book is made from the inside of the most beautiful (but worn-out & VERY heavy) Texier leather briefcase, which I suspect dated from the 1960/70's. This part of the briefcase was the lining and had to be firm and hard-wearing, so as a result is NOT leather, but is embossed with a grain, and feels incredibly robust! The corners are trimmed so that there are no sharp points and the book feels nice to hold in the hands.
