A knitting pattern for 9 different Christmas trees which are ideal for making hanging ornaments, baubles, wreaths, garlands, and other decorations. They can be left as they are or decorated.

The trees are knit flat then sewn together and are approximately 10cm (4 inches) tall.

The pattern includes instructions on how to make your trees into a 30cm wreath, if you wish to do so. You would need to knit 14 trees for the wreath.

This 7-page pattern is printed double-sided in colour on A4 paper and will be sent to you unfolded and unbound.

You will need:

To make only the trees:
Cascade 220 yarn in Forest Green (8267), White (8505) and Brown (8686), about 16m per tree.
4mm knitting needles.
Toy stuffing.
A tapestry needle.
Optional: decorations such as sequins, mini pompoms, beads or mini jingle bells.

To make the wreath as well:
A 30cm diameter wreath base.
About 160m of Cascade 220 in Mineral Blue (8311).
Glue or double-sided sticky tape suitable for fabric.

Techniques you should know:

Knitting and purling.
Decreasing.
Sewing seams using mattress stitch.
Stranded knitting (for the Snow-Covered Tree).
Duplicate stitch (for the Snow-Dusted Tree).
Working single-row stripes (for the Snow-Striped Tree).
