Item details

Lovely little trinket dish for change or jewellery or just to brighten up a table or dresser. This dish has been made from multi coloured iridescent glass layered with black or clear glass on the base. The glass is fused together in my kiln at a very high temperature. Once cool, the glass is fired a second time at a lower temperature over a mould to give it the shallow dish shape. This dish measures 8 cms by 8 cms. When the light catches these dishes, the colours are vibrant.
The royal blue and green dishes have a smooth finish and the red and purple-blue dishes have a Matt finish.

These little dishes are so pretty and the iridescent glass colours are stunning. Glass is so much fun to work with, you never get the same result twice and it’s always interesting and relaxing to experiment with.
