This is a scene in mid-summer, late in the evening as the sky is going pink. It is a view across Wastwater in Wasdale in the Lake District.

This is an original watercolour painting. I have used professional quality watercolour paints with high lightfastness ratings on 140lb acid free high quality watercolour paper.

This would make an ideal gift for someone who loves the Lake District. Wasdale is where many people start the walk up Scafell Pike.

Painting is 17 x 25 cm, and is unframed and mounted with a backing board, ready to fit a 11 x 14 inch frame, which can be easily bought online (I will suggest where a frame of this size can be bought with the item).

The mount is an off white textured acid free white core mount with an acid free backing board. It is in a clear plastic display bag. (The white core mount means that the inside of the mount does not yellow over time).
