Item details

This ash bowl is 7.5 inches across and 2 inches deep. The rim has been ebonised and I have added gold gilt to accentuate the grain. The middle of the bowl has a food safe, danish oil finish.. It would make a decorative gift for someone or to keep yourself.
I will carefully package this and send to the buyer free of charge within the UK.

Ash has a very distinctive grain and by ebonising the rim and enhancing the grain using gold gilt I have designed a unique and distinctive bowl. I like making ordinary objects and bowls are the staple work in woodturning but by decorating it in this way I enjoy producing work that is different.
