Llangynidr is near the middle of the Mon and Brec Canal, one of the most picturesque canals in the UK. There is a rise of locks above the village and then the canal follows the contours of the land northward, until just before Brecon.
This oil sketch of the top lock is painted onto primed canvas board. The board size is approximately 5in x 7in (126mm x 178mm). The oil paints used are Jackson artist paints on an acrylic off white ground. Please note the colours may differ slightly from the image.
The picture is unframed, but frames to suit this size of image are readily available.
